Personalized Nutrition Care for Metabolic Health, Women’s Health, and Disordered Eating

Hi! I'm Alexis Livingston, MS, LDN, CNS

At Living Stone Rooted Health, I provide personalized nutrition care that honors the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. My approach combines clinical nutrition, functional lab interpretation, behavior change, and compassionate support to help clients improve blood sugar, digestion, energy, hormones, body composition, and their relationship with food.

I work with adults and families seeking thoughtful, evidence-informed nutrition care for their concerns. For clients who desire it, faith can be included in the healing process through encouragement, prayer, Scripture, and a Christ-centered view of the body as something to nourish, not punish.

Each appointment is designed to help you understand what is happening in your body, create realistic next steps, and build sustainable habits that fit your life because if your foundation is unstable and inconsistent, everything feels harder - food, stress, sleep, cravings, and inflammation.

The Mission

Learning under Dr. Bryan Walsh taught me to work against the constant noise surrounding health. In a space crowded with trends and promises, my focus is on helping people pay attention to their bodies, discern between truth and misleading messaging, and return to the fundamentals that are often overlooked. Rather than chasing quick solutions or empty promises, my work centers on listening to the body, honoring its signals, and supporting the steady foundations that shape health over time. This work is evidence-informed and faith-rooted, guided by consistency rather than hype.

The "B.A.S.I.C.S." Framework

A: Absorption and Digestion
S: Strategy and Support
I: Intake Foundations
C: Circadian and Calm
S: Strength and Steps

What services are offered?

This doesn't list everything, but services do include: Food allergies & intolerances, GI disorders (including Crohn’s Disease, Colitis, IBS, Gastroparesis), high cholesterol, metabolic syndrome, PCOS/PMOS, pre-diabetes, preventative health & wellness, sports performance, and weight gain.

What can I expect from an initial visit?

Before your appointment, you’ll complete intake paperwork, sign required forms, verify insurance benefits if applicable, and place a card on file.

During the visit, we’ll review your medical history, medications, supplements, digestion, energy, sleep, stress, labs if available, and what has or hasn’t worked for you before.

By the end of the visit, you’ll leave with clear first steps. Your plan may include nutrition goals, meal structure, symptom tracking, supplement guidance when appropriate, or follow-up recommendations. The goal is personalized care that feels realistic, supportive, and doable.

What to expect from follow-up visits?

At the end of our first visit (with your help, of course!), I will determine the projected frequency of your follow-up appointments. Follow-up visits allow for 45 minutes of my time. Everyone’s nutritional situation is SO unique that without meeting you, it is difficult for me to determine how many follow-up visits you may require, and at what frequency.

I use follow-up visits to review your progress, address your questions and any obstacles you are struggling with. As time goes on, the sessions become more individualized, potentially adding exercise, sleep, and stress management goals to the mix. As you imagine, the topics for the follow-up sessions are truly endless.

TESTIMONIALS

What Clients Have Said

"Alexis helped me through a really difficult season of unexplained weight loss, constant reflux, low energy, poor sleep, and brain fog. She pushed for answers and helped me get properly evaluated, which led to a diagnosis of Barrett’s esophagus. From there, she guided me off long-term PPIs and supported me with the right digestive supplements and triggers. I no longer live with constant acid reflux, and I can even bend over without worrying about it coming back up.

She also helped me quit smoking, improve my nutrition, and start gaining weight in a healthier way. My sleep has improved so much that I barely need my prescription sleep medication anymore, and her targeted supplement support has helped clear my brain fog and steady my energy. I’m feeling stronger, clearer, and genuinely grateful for her care and commitment."

"Hi Alexis,

It is a pleasure working with you. I’m so grateful for the time, dedication, and genuine care you’ve invested in helping me on my journey toward better health.

Your guidance has gone far beyond food charts and meal plans—you’ve helped me shift not only my eating habits but also my mindset. Because of your support, I’ve developed a healthier relationship with food, gained confidence in making better choices, and have seen real, lasting improvements in both my physical and emotional well-being.

What I appreciate most is how you never gave up on me, even when I felt discouraged. Your encouragement, patience, and knowledge have made all the difference. You took the time to understand my unique challenges and always treated me with compassion and respect. That personal investment has meant more to me than words can fully express.

Thank you for being such a key part of my transformation. I feel stronger, more empowered, and much more hopeful about my health moving forward—all because of your commitment and care."

"Alexis has changed my lifestyle in multiple ways. I was introduced to her by my doctor because of a Diabetes diagnosis. I did not want to take medicine, and I needed guidance on what to eat, how to think about my relationship with food, and my overall health.

Alexis listened to me. She was patient and nonjudgmental as we looked at steps I could take to make lifestyle changes. She asked questions that helped me think outside of the box. She continues to help me adapt to these changes and recommends good supplements that will lower my A1c and help me lose weight. What a bonus! Not only that, but I did it without meds!!!  I have met my goals!

Alexis also monitors my A1c numbers and that keeps me accountable. She works beyond what I can ask for from any medical practitioner.

I love working with Alexis! She is an awesome Functional Medical Practitioner. I highly recommend her!"
